Honesty
Nowadays, most of us are guilty of dishonesty, theft and cheating etc. Sometimes, we become victim of such things, which makes us upset or even angry.○ Here is a story to explain how such dishonesty affects us more than it affects victims.
A beggar found a small bag full of rupees. He picked up the pouch, took out the money and counted it, there were 200 rupees. Then a rich person, a landlord came. Landlord was very nervous. His bag full of money has fallen somewhere in the way. landlord told the beggar that he would give some reward in the return of the pouch. The beggar took out the pouch full of 200 rupees and gave it to landlord and in return sought landlord's reward. Now, the heart of landlord changed. He counted the money and said "there is less money in it. There were 300 rupees in it. You have already withdrawn the money.". The matter got so big that they had to go to the king. The king listened very carefully to all, and he understood that, landlords's is being dishonest and is trying to cheat the beggar. King said that "there were more rupees in landlord's bag. This means that this bag is not of the landlord. There is no owner of this bag", and by saying so, Raja gave that bag to the beggar.
○ Most of us has been a victim of such dishonesty. Some most common one's are stated below;
1. At the time of the examination, I quickly solved the question paper. And as I came out of the examination room, the student behind me started crying and asked the inspector for my answer-book in which I wrote all the answers of the given exam and copied all the answers comfortably.
2. In market, the shopkeepers weigh the "stuff" on a weighing scale and, while putting it in the bag, some quantity of the same is dropped in the container placed below the weighing scale.
3. The time we mother's spent taking the money out of our purse, the shopkeeper's replaces the chosen and selected stuff with the lesser quality or even with the rotten stuff.
4. Reducing the weight of the weight plates which are used to measure the weight by stroking it and making it slightly thinner,
5. Someone else takes credit for work done by us in the office.
6. Other partners or colleagues getting ahead of us by using unethical means (by hook or by crook)
Bad and wrong people are everywhere. Such situations are very bad for our body and mind, and because of such situations, negativity starts to develop in our personality and life.
First, calm your thoughts and let the person who has been dishonest with you know about his tricks and that you see right through him. Talk only if you are a person with a cold temper or let it slide for a while. If such thing happens at the workplace then think if it affects your work or threatens your career, then decide.
Keep your mind very calm. Rather than regretting things which you can not change, think that you have something better going for you. That you deserve better. You get ready to get a new look, because now you will get more. By making these positive thoughts their strength, do good to fight evil.
